Hamilton Health Care System’s Sandy McKenzie has been promoted to president and chief executive officer of Hamilton Medical Center, the flagship hospital of Hamilton Health Care System. In addition to her new role, Ms. McKenzie will continue to have operational oversight of HHCS affiliates. Woman Who Suffers With Epilepsy To Climb Mount Kilimanjaro To Raise Awareness Of The Disease

Christy Howard, a Chattanooga woman who suffers with epilepsy, will begin her trek up Mount Kilimanjaro in July to raise awareness surrounding the disease and those who suffer from its effects. I said dumping fees are out of control, but in fact they are being controlled by Capital Waste Services. Capital Waste owns and, or operates, all the landfills and transfer stations in a 50-mile radius of Chattanooga. They have implemented a two-ton minimum charge at $55 per ton at the transfer station in Soddy Daisy. I am a handy man who builds decks and does light remodeling. The Chattanooga Wreckers hit three solo home runs in the second inning in their 4-1 win over the Birmingham Barons in front of 5,307 fans. The win snaps a four-game losing streak for Chattanooga and ends the Barons' eight-game winning streak.
