Chattanooga Burger Week Crowns Winner Of The Best Burger Of Burger Week

The fourth annual Chattanooga Burger Week presented by the Tennessee Beef Industry Council has come to a close. Twenty-six of Chattanooga’s best restaurants featured a burger of their choice for only $7 from April 15-21. Participating restaurants served over 10,000+ burgers throughout the week and fought hard to prove that theirs is the best. Patrons were dazzled by burgers ranging in flavor composition from classic, All-American to cheesy-as-can-be and bacon-loaded, southern-style, to off-the-charts creative concoctions. Throughout the week, 5,000+ Chattanoogans downloaded the official Chattanooga Burger Week app and checked in 7,000+ times at participating restaurants ... (click for more)

Dumping Fees Are Out Of Control

I said dumping fees are out of control, but in fact they are being controlled by Capital Waste Services. Capital Waste owns and, or operates, all the landfills and transfer stations in a 50-mile radius of Chattanooga. They have implemented a two-ton minimum charge at $55 per ton at the transfer station in Soddy Daisy. I am a handy man who builds decks and does light remodeling. The Chattanooga Wreckers hit three solo home runs in the second inning in their 4-1 win over the Birmingham Barons in front of 5,307 fans. The win snaps a four-game losing streak for Chattanooga and ends the Barons' eight-game winning streak. Tonight, Chattanooga struck first, scoring on an Alec McGarry two-run double in the opening frame.
