APRIL 27

Members of the USS Carbonero Base, United States Submarine Veterans will honor the memories of over 4,000 submariners lost in the line of duty in a formal public ceremony to recognize their service. 11 a.m. at Soddy Daisy Veterans Park, 9009 Dayton Pike. 

MAY 3

75th Armed Forces Parade. begins at 10:30 a.m. from the intersection of M. L. King and Market Streets. The parade will continue down Market Street to West Aquarium Way, turning left and finishing at Chestnut Street.

MAY 4

Art 120 hosts We Make. 11 a.m.-4 p.m., overlooking the Tennessee River on the Chattanooga Green.

Chattanooga Room in the Inn’s ChattaDerby, 5-8:30 p.m. at Parkside Hall. Tickets can be purchased by visiting www.chattanoogaroomintheinn.com/derby. Individual tickets are $150 and dedicated tables of eight are $1,000.

JUNE 7-8

The Tennessee Valley Lineman Rodeo Competition at the Tennessee Riverpark. Begins with an opening ceremony at 1 p.m. followed by events. Day two of competition runs from 7 a.m. through early afternoon. Free. Events for kids. 

JUNE 21-28

The 11th annual Chattanooga Film Festival presented in a hybrid format, with in-person and virtual programming available. The festival's in-person dates, June 21-24, are at The Read House.  chattfilmfest.org.

JULY 12-13 and 19-20 

The 2024 Scopes Trial play Destiny in Dayton will be offered. Tickets for play performances on July 12, 13 and 19 are $30. Tickets for Saturday, July 20, are $90, and include dinner with the cast on the courthouse lawn. Entertainment for the dinner will be provided by Scenic City Sound, featuring a classic big band and swing repertoire. Tickets are available at https://tinyurl.com/3krhc4km.
