How To Solve The Money Crisis In The Schools - And Response

  • Wednesday, April 24, 2024

How many students are in the Hamilton County Schools? Are there more now than 10 years ago? How many individuals are getting huge salaries, yet don't teach any students?

It is my opinion that people that do not teach students should not get an automatic raise. Let them negotiate their salary. This does not include principals and assistant principals.

I don't think the superintendent should get a $30,000 raise either. There are lots of people that can do that job for less. He ain't worth it. Come on, School Board!

If Superintendent Robertson is truly interested in the teacher salary, he should forego the $31,000 raise requested for himself and redirect that amount to teacher raises. My goodness, his salary already blows the mind of us average citizens, especially those of us on a fixed income who are struggling with inflation at every turn. The whopping raise for the superintendent is more than some of our citizens earn in a year…..whomever proposed his raise has no conscious or touch with reality.

His contract extension is in fact a guarantee of his future income – and a very comfortable retirement.
