Beulah Mae “Marie” Brooks
Beulah Mae “Marie” Brooks, 79, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. She was a longtime resident of Washington D.C. and moved to Harrison, Tn. in 2018. Marie was of the Baptist faith and was a faithful member of The Sanctuary at Kingdom Square Church in Maryland.

Beulah graduated from Dunbar High School, Class of 1962. She enjoyed cooking, being outdoors, traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Marie was preceded in death by her son, Ricky Mungo; grandson, Derrick Graham; and her parents, John and Marie Robinson.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Alvin Brooks; son, Tim Crestwell; grandchildren, Richard Mungo, Ashley Crestwell, Terrence Crestwell, Tiara Crestwell, Christopher Crestwell and Kandi Newton; as well as great-grandchildren, Amir Ingram, Elizabeth Crestwell, Logan Marie Crestwell, Markus Voltaire, Malani Voltaire, Richard Mungo, Jr. and Ricky Mungo.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 25 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at Turner Funeral Home at Hwy 58. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 11:30 a.m., with Pastor Jeremy Faber officiating.

Marie will be laid to rest in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
